Review of Oldboy (2003) by Austin C — 10 Jun 2013
Oldboy is a prim example of a good film. Park-Chan Wook does an excellent job at how revenge and obsession can drive humans to the brink of death and insanity. This is a film that is excellent in every category including the acting, the cinematography, and might I mention action.
This is what most thrillers aspire to be but what Oldboy does that transcends the norm is its ability to be non-apologetic and its ability to compel.
