Review of Oldboy (2003) by Matt M — 19 Jul 2013
A man is locked in a room for fifteen years without knowing why of who his captor is. When he finally gets out, he is caught in a web of conspiracy and strangeness. A magnificent tale of revenge. This South Korean film is gripping from start to finish with its captivating storyline maze and brilliant visual style, and while the fearlessness and violence of the plot is neither for the squeamish nor for the easily offended, its taste for strangeness is rewarding to those willing to be shocked.
