Chan Wook Park delivers his delightfully twisted story with stylistic flare, he creates a strange, dark and hopeless world that engrosses you and disturbs you at the same time. Underneath the violence and the darkness lies true beauty.
With it's baffling visuals, excellent performances, brilliant style, outstanding cinematography and it's gorgeous soundtrack, "Oldboy"'s excellence meets no boundaries. It's thought provoking and yet wildly entertaining with its exceptional action sequences, it manages to be one of the most entertaining and exciting films of all time.
This is a masterpiece that demands to be seen.
