Review of Old School (2003) by Sam K — 03 Dec 2011
It's not the best feel-good comedy I've seen, you don't get a genuine warmth in the stomach after watching it. But it stands out far above other similar comedies of its style.
It plays into what many of us wish to see happen or to participate in at some point in our lives - going streaking, taking part in a blind-folded orgy, even having consensual sex with a pretty girl who turns out 16 and getting away with it (not pointing fingers here).
This movie plays into many stereotypes of a frat house, and sometimes goes overboard (the brick tied to penis scene). But what makes it work is great directing, believable acting and dialogues, and on and on. I recommend it for everyone!
