Review of Old Fashioned (2014) by Cool G — 15 Feb 2015
Acting from the director/lead is C-, female lead is a B and the aunt is a A. The story isn't primarily about chastity, it's about the damage done to a middle aged man through choices he made during a college aged, shallow hal period.
His questionable exploiting choices began to haunt him after he became spiritually aware of the damage he had done to himself and others. Nine years pass and his new quirky, hermit, unattractive self appears to have major trust issues and this leads to a very awkward view on dating.
The weakest part of the story, is the idea that this girl is willing to stick in there and find love. I think the story will be romantic to some but 2 hrs is way to drawn out for the value of the content in my opinion.
Nice photograph throughout and C+ attempt at telling an unpopular perspective and probably will be misunderstood and hammered by most critics.
