If you want to laugh, cry and experience true emotion while viewing beautiful scenery and hearing some good music... then you need to see this movie. This is a movie about redemption, love, romance, kindness, respect, healing and how it ought to be between a man and a woman.
If you have teens in your family, take them, give them a chance to see what honest and real love can/should be. You won't be bored or walk out sorry you went, go in "meh" come out "happy".
I thought the spoken words, the music, the character chemistry, the body language, the scenery all of it just wove into a beautiful tapestry... I would have to classify it as one of my all time favorite movies.
And, if you are not in love with Aunt Zella after seeing this movie, seriously, a priceless character. I will most certainly be adding Old Fashioned to my DVD library when the time comes... along with the books and sound track.
Everyday people are saying great things about this movie, I've heard from friends around the US that audiences have actually been clapping, staying to read the credits at the end.
