Review of Old Dogs (2009) by Paul N — 31 May 2010
Terribly slated by most other reviewers 'Old Dogs' is a funny, heart warming family comedy from Disney, with more than a few 'laugh out loud' moments. I was down in the dumps when I watched this, and I laughed my ass off! Robin Williams and John travolta are about to seal a massive Japanese deal that will be the culmination of their 30 years in business together.
Robin Williams gets in touch with his vegas marriage, instant divorce, one night stand, only to find out that he is a dad. She has to go to jail while he looks after the kid with john travolta. Travolta's character is the cool suave, devil may care type, whilst Williams is kind and overly emotional.
As I've said, this film made me laugh out loud whilst I was miserable, that counts for something surely. Seth Green is also pretty good in this movie, although he looks coke'd out of his brains thoughout.
