I swear, the editor of Old Dogs must have been racing to finish each scene as soon as possible. There's no setup, no emotional attachment to the characters, and the poor transitions are painfully noticeable.
Wild Hogs... I mean, Old Dogs is not completely laugh-free, but it's painful to watch talented actors work with an unfunny script and A.D.D. pacing. I'm not even sure that kids would enjoy the film (other than the slapstick) because the plot revolves around adults growing up.
Also, the scene during the end credits was Vanilla-Sky-terrifying and would totally frighten children. It had a good idea with a couple funny jokes that could have made a passable comedy for adults. Skip the movie and watch the trailer for all the remotely funny parts.
