Review of Okja (2017) by Michal N — 01 Sep 2017
Bong Joon Ho made a nearly perfect adventure film. It makes fun of everyone - commercialists, capitalists, anarchists, 90s family cinema and much much more, without being self referential or breaking the fourth wall.
It's funny, heartwarming, sad and engaging, with a very deep sense of style, reinforcement and composition in every single aspect of the film. Some of the statements are a little too forced and over-the-top but the film is just too much of a blast to skip.
