Review of O'Horten (2007) by Matthew G — 24 May 2009
A bare-bones story that plods along at the same leisurely pace that it's eponymous protagonist does throughout the film. O'Horten's meandering gait serves to enhance the small glints of humor that punctuate its otherwise bittersweet feel.
Overall, it is a delightfully Norwegian, aesthetically pleasing film about reconnecting and starting anew. The best way I can describe the feel of this movie is to say that if O'Horten was a person, I'd want to pinch its oddball cheeks.
