Review of Office Space (1992) by Bharat V — 15 Feb 2012
Really good comedy that's brought down by a pretty lame last act. It feels completely removed from the rest of the movie in an epic manner. Even with that negative taken out of the picture, I think the movie is pretty overrated.
What this movie does best is give you a great collection of quoteable lines. Sort of like the Big Lebowski. But there's nothing, to me, that brought those lines together in a manner that actually advances the 'plot'.
Again, like the Big Lebowski. Only not as funny. Not to shit on the movie. I thought it had its really funny moments, mostly provided by the Bill Lumbergh character and the usage of gangsta rap. Good movie overall however.
