Review of Office Space (1992) by Trevor R — 05 Apr 2013
This is definitely one of my favorite comedies of all-time. Mike Judge made a doggone cult classic. The film connects with pretty much everyone who has or had a job that they despise. Peter Gibbons is our great hero who hates his job and wants nothing more than to DO nothing on a daily basis.
The cast really is amazing. The trio of Ron Livingston, Ajay Naidu, and David Herman are just spectacular. Gary Cole is great as the loathsome boss and Stephen Root is a barrel of laughs playing the mumbling Milton which ironically is an old Mike Judge cartoon character.
The film is easily quotable and has some of the greatest about TPS reports ever! Another awesome aspect is the hilariously out of place hip-hop soundtrack. Random fun fact: Richard Riehle, who plays Tom Smykowski, is my uncle.
Office Space is just plain awesome!!
