Review of Office Christmas Party (2016) by Isadore H — 14 Dec 2016
For a movie titled 'Office Christmas Party' there is a lot more to it than you expect, however, that's not hard to do. The cast all brings their game, I particularly enjoyed TJ Miller as the head of the branch that was in the party.
Jason Bateman and Olivia Munn were good as the leads, but didn't really have anything to do. The first two acts of the film had plenty of laughs, despite the one-dimensional characters. Lots of really fun performances all around, and that's always good to see.
The final 20 mins gets a bit too out there, and really slowed the movie down quite a bit. This is a fine Christmas movie for anyone not looking for too much and a few laughs, definitely no 'Its a Wonderful Life' but a solid movie in its own right.
The title lets you know what you're in for right away, and what to expect. It's passable, but just barely because of the number of times it made me laugh.
