Review of Off the Map (2003) by Jennifer K — 09 Aug 2007
This is my absolute favorite movie. Joan Allen's character is an extremely centered, supportive person to her husband, who is suffereng from severe depression, and her daughter, who has very set ideas about how she wants to live her life differently from her parents'.
The film makes me contemplate why we behave and make the choices we do, as well as the differing roles that depression plays in people's lives.
