Review of Of Gods and Men (2010) by Lena Y — 21 Sep 2010
Atmospheric and beautiful locale in the remote mountains of algeria, in a villagebeseiged by fundamentalists. the film does not focus enough on the local population who are said to depend on the monks 'like birds on a branch'.
a bit claustrophobic and confined within the walls of the monastery, but interesting juxtaposition of two religions. slow and dragging at times.
