Review of Of Gods and Men (2010) by Trent R — 04 Jan 2011
An outstandingly well played and smartly paced drama, revealing character through action. In this case, rituals of daily life as infused by religious faith and personal ethics as much as the formal rituals also portrayed - which comment back upon their practical counterparts.
Obviously, this lends great depth to the conflicts which emerge and this deliberate and careful execution especially sets this film apart from much contemporary fare.
