Review of Of Gods and Men (2010) by Jon L — 01 Apr 2011
Stunningly deep. Contemplative. Serious in the good way. Relevant and meaningful. Like life it requires some patience, but I personally LOVED it. The monk named Luc will be with me for a long time. For a change I'm almost speechless.
This movie uses a real story of authentically spiritual people dealing with immediate and relevant (given what's going on in our world) life and death issues, and does so with a exquisite delicacy.
Thus this film is a delicacy, IMHO. Highly recommended.
