Review of Of Gods and Men (2010) by Matt T — 12 Apr 2011

I get that the makers of this film were trying to do something unique, I really do- The slow scenes, the quiet dialogue, the subtle drama. But it's beautiful cinematography and impressive acting is tainted with haphazard editing and a boring narrative.

While it has it's bright spots and it tries to tackle many of lifes deep questions, it's so painstakingly dull that the only reason I'm glad I saw it was to satisfy my own curiosity of whether it'd be worth watching or not.

Now I can rest assured in the fact of knowing that it wasn't.
