A film that focuses on french christian monks who work out of a muslim country doing there work peacefully. but their faith is tested when westerners are murdered there, and unrest settles in the region, they are advised to leve, but choose to stay, this putting their lives in danger.
but with their faith comimg to the front its the desision they make. a interesting drama that gets close to its charactoirs played here, a intimite drama, and although some murders are shown in gory detail towards the start, this isnt the way the film goes, and focuses on the monks determination, doubts and other musings when it comes around.
a well made film, which certainly takes a diferent aproach to storys of this detail.
