Review of Of Gods and Men (2010) by Jeffrey H — 27 May 2011
There are some incredibly brilliant moments in Of Gods and Men, including the last 20 minutes or so and a could-have-been-disastrous-but-turned-out-immensely-moving dinner scene set to Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, but the film suffers from a bloated eagerness to prove its religious worth through innumerable hymns and prayers.
Still, it asks incredible questions and is worth the two hours you spend.
