Review of Of Gods and Men (2010) by Phil T — 04 Jun 2011
There is a good story here and it makes you (well me, in any case) want to learn more about the Algerian civil war. But and it's a big but - the film is very boring in parts. Almost nothing happens for the first forty minutes and the the promotion for this film which talks about monks being held hostage is very misleading - that's really only the last ten minutes.
Still it does have the Merovignian from The Matrix films and a Bond villain (Hugo Drax from Moonraker)!
