Review of Odd Thomas (2013) by Olli H — 04 Jan 2014
Another plot with a great potential that fell short. I haven't read the books so I'm coming from a viewpoint of someone who's only seen the film. The main issue that I had was with the actors Anton Yelchin and Addison Timlin who seemed to have almost zero connection onscreen even though they're supposed to be madly in love with each other.
I feel like I didn't see any genuine emotion between them until the last 10 minutes of the film. I did like the fact that this is one of the few films where the main character that would normally be considered an outcast, is actually pretty popular amongst his peers.
That was certainly refreshing.
