Review of Odd Girl Out (2005) by Megan B — 16 Dec 2007
Wow.
That was my first reaction when I first saw this movie. Scarily close to real life, and rather unforgiving in it's portrayal. It doesn't cut corners or poke fun at the trials of girls and cliques--it is dead serious and at points like watching a car crash with how horrible things get that the viewer can see coming, but that's the movie's real strength. Should be something every middle-school aged girl should be forced to watch. A very moving picture.
