Review of Oculus (2014) by Josh O — 12 Nov 2014

This is one of the better horror movies I've seen in a while and it's originality is a breath of fresh air. This isn't your trashy jump scare filled horror film, this is a film with intelligence and a focus on dread rather than startling you.

A smart and twisty script with very compelling characters along with great editing and music. It's also well shot and acted and managed to surprise me quite a bit. I definitely want my friends to check it out.
