Review of Oculus (2014) by Michelle K — 06 Sep 2014
Relying on a combination of confusing the audience with a strange marriage of past and present as well as building dread through anticipation, Oculus manages to be mostly original in this modern era of jump scares and obvious soundtracks.
Score one for Amy Pond on taking a chance with this horror movie. Though, I found myself oddly unsatisfied at the end and craving for more. One of the first horror movies I'd actually like to see a sequel to.
