Oculus is a pleasant surprise for me since I expected it to be nothing but awful. Oculus is well directed and acted, it may not be too high on the typical horror, but it is not short on creepiness and mystery. Since it's well made, it's hard to guess about it's storyline and much to a fault it's more confusing than revealing. It does not explain much to satisfy your every single doubt, but what it shows is pretty good stuff. It starts off slow, then moves on at the limit between a psychological thriller and a horror film. The actors are all new and fresh, every one does their part well, especially the small children.
