Lacks any real tension or a sense of dread, and leaves it up to cinematography and sound design give it an atmosphere that exist merely on a surface level. Switching between between older and younger versions of the characters in the final chase makes it impossible to get invested in the fear being touted at us.
The whole mirror concept is genius, but that just makes it even more disappointing.
