Review of Octopussy (1983) by Steve K — 13 Dec 2007
This the Bond movie where I completely believe Roger Moore as Bond. I mean, he's a 56 year old spy and womanizer? I'm not gonna completely buy it. Still, while the plot isn't great, it's enough to keep you interested for most of the movie and by and large, I was entertained.
Keep it simple with the plot and have someone able to pull off Bond are a recipe for at least mild success and that's exactly what this film delivers. I rate it as the 15th best official Bond film (out of 21) and the 4th best featuring Moore (out of 7).
