Review of Octopussy (1983) by Jamie E — 05 Nov 2013
How this can be called a James Bond movie, I dont know. The action and reality of the Jame Bond Franchise has been forgotten and replaced by cheesy, unrealistic fullers. There is some action but it is nearly all flat and unexcitable.
The acting is mine as is the production and costume design, but that doesn't nearly save this film from being utter nonsense. The story, while having one or two twists, is confusing and again unrealistic.
The screenplay is cliche which kills any chance for a smidgen of character development or chemistry between the stars. Really the film was doomed from that start. A James Bond film opening with a clown getting chased was never going to go anywhere.
