Review of Octopussy (1983) by Dig B — 17 Jan 2010
A typical example from the "awkward sexual humour" chapter in the Bond saga--if the title doesn't give it away, the plethora of bad puns and the island of scantily-clad women certainly will.
this movie's kind of all over the place--maniacal Soviet generasl, exiled Afghan princes, circuses owned by lady smugglers operating their own private islands for women, knife-wielding twins, Roger Moore in a clown suit.
..lots and lots of action without much real charm or solid coherency. entertaining, but by no means top-tier.
