Review of Octopussy (1983) by Josh L — 27 Oct 2012
Grade: D.
Definitely not the best Bond film out there; it was more like a lullaby than an action film, this definitely put me to sleep. Octopussy is another one of Bond's inexpilicable missions in which you need a degree in to understand; something involving an egg and a bomb. I just didn't find the film very exciting; Bond is more like a child's entertainer dressing up as a clown, a gorilla and a crocodile, you name it. I just found the film lazy and slow paced and the villians were a bit wooden and failed to impress. The Bond girls were pretty much in the background too, only being good for a bonkety bonk when suits Bond. I have to say that this Bond film is a real disappointment. I think Roger Moore has outgrown Bond as well to be perfectly honest.
