Amazing movie. There was some crude language, but the good themes of the movie overshadowed them. Homer grew up in a run-down mining town where the only way out was through football scholarship--but he overcame all obstacles, including the cynicism of his own father--and persevered, winning the national science fair and achieving his dreams.
Powerful true story about perseverance, academics, and the American Dream.
