Review of October Baby (2011) by Tina R — 28 Mar 2012
I found the movie to be one that starts off slow. It also gets on your nerves about how whiny this teenager is about how "she's not wanted". It was amazing to me to see how long she whined in the film about not being wanted when in fact she WAS wanted the whole time by her adoptive parents.
But getting past that, it was one that, while a little predictable, cut straight to your heart. And wow, it showed the power of forgiveness. It speaks of how we must love the criminal but hate the crime and that was beautiful.
It is an opportunity for ALL of us to heal through this movie. I wish we saw more movies about hope and forgiveness like this film in our society. Whatever you do, don't leave before the credits roll.
