Review of October Baby (2011) by Sheril L — 31 Mar 2012
I wanted to see October Baby and the rest of my family wanted to see the Hunger Games. Since the liberals would hate a film like this I broke my one movie per weekend so I could see it before the left shoved this out of the theaters.
I went to see it with my younger sister, a friend, my mom and my friends mom. We all loved the movie, though my mom says "go see it but bring a box of tissues." October baby is about a young woman with health issues.
She discovers all her health issues are connected to the fact that her birth mother tried to abort her. She goes on a journey to try and find her birth mother. The story was great, the characters were likeable and well casted, the humor was funny, there are heartbreaking scenes, scenes that made me laugh, scenes that gave me hope.
I have to say, and this is true of my entire family, my favorite thing was the character of Jason Bradley, the main characters best friend. He was kind, calm, respectful, and just a great guy. I hope every girl finds a guy as great as he is.
At one point of the movie Hannah's dad is very mad at Hannah and Jason, and tells Jason to stay away from his daughter. Instead of getting angry at her dad for being unreasonable (which her dad was not) he begged the father to reconsider until her dad calmed down and realized that it wasn't Jason's fault and that he was a great friend to Hannah.
