Review of October Baby (2011) by Joe F — 14 Apr 2012
Tough subject that has a huge amount of free propaganda all set against it, our wonderful liberal media. Movie was better than I thought it would be and I liked the way love, forgiveness, guilt, selfishness and heroism were portrayed.
One critic blasted the movie saying there's Bo way something like this can happen, apparently he didn't know it's loosely based on a real woman who survived a botched abortion. Botched abortions are not uncommon, one nurse who left the business reported that the babies are sometimes still alive after the abortion, but they would just set them off to the side until they died.
There's nothing pretty about abortion, particularly when the majority are done for pure convenience. I was the father of an aborted baby at 16. It took me years to reconcile with it and forgive myself.
I would be the father of a 34 yr old human being, although I know God has forgiven me and have some peace on the issue, I still wish my baby was alive. If this movie changes one couples, or one young ladies mind and the choose life, the movie was a sensational hit.
I believe it has and will continue to save lives and show there is much compassion for those that do. It will also help those who chose otherwise to heal.
