In this movie, the script was pretty awful, so much so that the creditable acting wasn't enough to save it. There wasn't enough imformation about the characters from the very beginning to make it engaging.

Instead, it feels like the entire cast is lying to you with all the crying and upset, guilty expressions. Not to mention the complete lack of involvement on the part of the mother character, which is insulting to mothers everywhere.

It's just sad that a movie with such a good message is doomed to this kind of failure. I expect more quality from these creators.
