Ocean's Thirteen is flashy fast-paced fun, a breath of fresh air for the franchise. Especially after the dismal Ocean's Twelve. And as for the absent Julia Roberts and Catherine Zeta-Jones - who gives a crap? I forgot they were missing after 5 minutes.

George Clooney is a suave as ever, with Brad Pitt to support his manner, and Matt Damon to bring it down a tone along with the glitzy all star cast assembled for the third picture, though one can't help but wonder whether the only reason they stick around is because of a lack of job opportunities.

Incorporating Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin was a smart move, who both supply enough story to keep the narrative rolling, and only a few times I found myself wondering where the whole thing was going (these parts were the mexican sub-plot scenes, which I didn't understand at all.

On the whole, Thirteen was a sappy popcorn movie with intelligence, with fine acting, and intreguingly impossible heist going about and several twists at the end, though if you are a viewer of the BBC show Hu$tle, as I am, these twists were to be anticipated.

Thank the Lord Steven Soderbergh pulled his act together after Twelve and completed the trilogy on a high.
