Review of Ocean's Eleven (1960) by Ryan F — 24 Nov 2009
A whole generation of people don't realize that Sinatra did it before Clooney did. That being said, this version is a lot different from the "remake," but just as much fun. The Rat Pack is all there, trying to rob a couple of casinos on New Year's Eve.
Of course, there are circumstances that make the heist challenging, and the ending may not please some. However, the irony makes it all worth it. If you want a fun throwback to the time when Frank, Dean, and Sammy owned the Sands and Vegas was controlled by the Mob, Ocean's 11 is recommended.
