Review of Ocean's Eleven (1960) by Daniel R — 12 Jun 2011
I liked the remake, but it was't nearly in the same class as the original. This how it was done when Hollywood still remembered how it was done. Acting that could stop and spin around on a dime with seamless transition and the power of ensemble.
It could float on style alone, and it soars, but it doesn't have to depend on it. Solid acting. Solid story. Solid film.
