Review of Ocean's Eight (2018) by Lance S — 12 Jun 2018
The two most important factors for an Oceans film are an interesting heist and great banter and interplay between the team members. "Ocean's 8" is good with the former but lacking in the latter.
The third act of the movie feels like a new story onto itself. On a positive note, the fashions and cameos throughout the film a visual treats. I also always enjoy Sandra Bullock, including in films that I didn't enjoy (Minions, Speed 2, Practical Magic, Crash, etc).
The movie is enjoyable but forgettable.
