Review of Ocean's Eight (2018) by Franklyfrank — 15 Sep 2018
Everything just goes smoothly for the protagonists, whose heist is so simple it's boring. Several characters could have been antagonists (e.g. Hathaway, Armitage, Cordon, the security team) - but nope. I have no idea why the writers didn't even have a plot-twist. I kept expecting something to happen, but it all just goes according to plan.
By no means a bad film - the acting, glitzy vibe & cast change were good (& it was better than Oceans 12). However, this is perhaps the perfect example of a 'mediocre' film.
