While "Ocean's 8" is sporadically entertaining, light throughout, and has a few chuckle-worthy moments, it's execution by Gary Ross is absolutely lifeless. It focuses too much on creating a low-pressure & lighthearted mood, that it forgets to include a strong motive to steal, a compelling villain, or any tension whatsoever.
