The stellar performances (especially Hathaway) elevate this to a 7/10 for me, but this cast exceeded by far the material they were given to work with. A good con makes the impossible look easy. This one made what should have been straightforward seem unnecessarily difficult, through a thin script that seemed to WANT to be the "feel-good, girl-power" movie critics feared, rather than the truly layered and dynamic heist movie it deserved to be.
