Review of Ocean's Eight (2018) by Dougie Lawless P — 27 Aug 2018
Ocean's 8 does a great job of keeping that fast-paced thrilling execution just like we're used with previous Ocean's trilogy, but something was seriously off, the film is like a result with nothing in between, it doesn't challenge its genre at all, unlike previous parts in its franchise, the film has no kick, don't get me wrong here, it works and it works just fine but ultimately it doesn't rise to the franchise standards, Yes, it was fun and funny but there's just something about the other Ocean films that seems to be missing here.
The acting was great, with heavy hitters such as Bullock and Blanchett, you would expect that, and the two were nicely complemented by a highly talented cast.
Putting my personal opinion aside, Ocean's 8 is a great movie and it's fun to watch.
