Review of Occupation (2018) by Joseph T — 18 Jan 2019
Reminiscent of Red Dawn, Independence Day and the old V tv series (1st Gen) but with the Aliens pretty much treated as faceless guys in masks that cannot be reasoned with until the last 10 mins of the story.. it largely centers after the set up about a huge montage and an epic battle ending with three sets of character 'family' interactions that are not developed as much as one would like. Certainly a very Average C lister film, it looks like it was cut down from a potentially better one to make the time limit (it really needed another half hour or hour of character development and interaction during the middle section and has a bit of a predictable ending.
No Worse than Red Daw or Independence Day, just with less money and name recognized actors behind it.
