Review of Obvious Child (2014) by Pepeu — 23 May 2015
Heartwarming off-beat rom-com which is surprisingly funny. When I first really noticed Jenny Slate was in Parks and Recreation as Mona-Lisa. I couldn't really figure out what I liked about that horribly annoying person, but here in this movie I knew this was it. She's found a great spot. I want more of her.
It's not hysterically intense as some commonly are, instead it has a rather good pace, each scene telling more and adding both laughter and thought in its wake. It's one of those movies you're glad you've watched. You will leave the cinema/your couch with a warm fuzzy feeling knowing it will all be OK.
