Review of Observe and Report (2009) by Joanna C — 17 Sep 2010
Completely stupid, insane and not very good. It seems to glorify racism and drug taking much like he did in Pineapple Express. Rogen plays a security guard in a shopping mall with grander plans to be in the police force.
If this sounds familiar then you're correct as this has been done before with Paul Bart: Mall Cop which is much much better and funnier. But one thing is stopping him from being successful and that is he is quite delusional and has never really grown up as well as showing signs of not only harming himself but people around him as well.
But a chance invites itself for Rogan to better himself when a serial flasher stalks the malls carpark and mall it self. He goes on the trail of this serial pervert and hopefully get a oppurtunity of improving his chances of getting into the police force.
Ray Liotta, who can do so much better than a movie like this, for goodness sake he was in Goodfellas, plays a detective who is hell bent on ruining Rogen's chances of getting into the police force.
Despite having a few funny moments and I mean a few this film is not very good.
