Review of Oblivion (2013) by Stacey O — 22 Feb 2014
A completely flat and almost boring experience. After a promising start, it fades out to a disappointing and run of the mill ending. Tom Cruise is excellent as always in those decent action sequences however they are too far and in between.
A destroyed Earth makes a superb setting however the plot almost confuses itself and has an incredible lack of substance. Overall Oblivion makes for a lacklustre and mediocre movie, which falls short to make it stand out amongst recent sci-fi counterparts alike.
