Review of Oblivion (2013) by Dusty L — 26 May 2015
I watched this in bits whilst I did other things and gradually over the days warmed to it, I think mainly because of the look of it. I enjoyed the fact that you could identify a period look to it, all the grey tones and the synthesized-yet-modern score.
. in the same kind of way you can tell whether a 20th century fantasy film is 70s, 80s, 90s et cetera. I still find Tom Cruise so utterly BORING to behold but I found if I didn't pay too much attention to his face I could get through it.
.. and is it just me or is he called 'Jack' in every single film he's in?
