Review of Oblivion (2013) by Danny O — 21 Nov 2014
Oblivion is enjoyable in some aspects, but overall fails to deliver as the great Sci-Fi film it could have been. The acting is pretty good, and the visuals are amazing. The score is great, as well as the cinematography.
It takes a while for the movie to go anywhere, and once it does it starts off pretty interesting. Then the movie becomes silly and predictable. The pacing is pretty good, though some parts are slow. The movie is decent, it just doesn't really explore some of the cool ideas it hints at.
Once you do get to the end, the big reveal is honestly pretty obvious. Overall, there is some good acting, interesting concepts, and cool visuals. Oblivion gets 3/5 stars (B-).
